Our webinar, The Ethics of Working with Clients in Crisis is taking place on March 28th at Noon PST. For attorneys, this training comes with CLE credits and explores the lawyer’s role and ethical responsibility when working with a client who may be potentially impaired and/or incapacitated. For social workers and social service providers who work with legal aid attorneys and clients in crisis, this program will provide legal information and context on issues such as confidentiality and scope of representation.

Legal aid attorneys often work with clients in crisis who are experiencing poverty, substance use, addiction and/or mental health impairments. This program will explore the lawyer’s role and ethical responsibility when working with a client who may be potentially impaired and/or incapacitated. For social workers and social service providers who work with legal aid attorneys and clients in crisis, this program will provide legal information and context on issues such as confidentiality and scope of representation. Our webinar will be presented by Huy Nguyen, BLC’s Executive Director.
