Washington’s Statewide Legal Advocate Training convenes civil legal aid attorneys and other front-line and case-handling advocates from across the Alliance for Equal Justice. This biannual training provides a unique opportunity for advocates to develop their skills and substantive law knowledge in service to their clients.
Call for Workshop Proposals – Submissions Due July 2
The Advocate Training will offer keynote and plenary sessions and over 30 workshops, mostly designed and delivered by civil legal aid advocates from our community.
We invite and encourage anyone with lessons or strategies to share to submit a workshop proposal via this online form by July 2, 2018, even if you might require assistance in identifying speakers to participate. Sessions offer a unique opportunity for advocates to take on leadership and collaboration roles with their peers.
Proposed sessions must advance the priorities outlined in the call for proposals and further State Plan priorities such as advancing race equity, reaching underserved communities, or developing holistic and client-centered approaches to advocacy.
Registration is Open
Registration is now open for the Statewide Legal Advocate Training taking place October 9-11, 2018 at the Wenatchee Convention Center. Click here for details.
