Sexual Violence Law Center Now at Legal Voice

The group formerly known as the Sexual Violence Legal Services of the YWCA Seattle|King|Snohomish is now the Sexual Violence Law Center (SVLC) and a sponsored program of Legal Voice. Led by Director Riddhi Mukhopadhyay, a former Legal Voice board member, along with a team of attorneys including Yvonne Chin, Natasha Johnson, and Sara Mooney, SVLC now serves as the only legal program in the state that exclusively serves survivors of sexual assault in the following ways:

  • Providing holistic legal representation and assistance to survivors of sexual violence in protection order, immigration, housing, employment, Title IX, and criminal cases
  • Serving as a technical assistance resource for programs and attorneys serving survivors throughout Washington
  • Responding to survivors through their statewide legal support phone line: 844-991-7892

SVLC will work alongside the staff of Legal Voice to provide crucial services for survivors of sexual assault and will be working out of the Columbia Legal Services’ Seattle office.
