Join Lydia X. Z. Brown, writer, community organizer, attorney, advocate, and educator, for a workshop on integrating disability justice into movements for liberation and justice. In this workshop, participants will learn about ableism as a form of interpersonal and systemic violence and oppression, develop skills to understand and confront ableism with an intersectional framework, and begin to build foundations for creating and sustaining communities and movements based on principles of disability justice. This workshop draws on teachings and ongoing cultural and political work in the self-advocacy, neurodiversity, mad pride, disability rights, and disability justice spaces, among others.
