Law Day and Liberty Bell Dinner 2019
Keynote Speaker: Washington State Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu
Featuring the Liberty Bell Award Ceremony
In the United States and around the world, freedom of speech and the press are among the most important foundations for a free society. Free speech and free press are prominent topics in public discourse and litigation. It is impossible to imagine a free society without these individual liberties, yet historical and current debates surrounding them continually challenge us to consider their boundaries and resilience. Changes in technology have reshaped how free speech and free press work in the everyday world.
The Skagit County Bar Association, the Volunteer Lawyer Program, and the Liberty Bell Award Committee invite all of those involved in law and justice, as well as support staff, and significant others, to attend the 2019 Law Day Dinner and Liberty Bell Award Ceremony.
The Skagit County Bar Association is also pleased to announce that it has invited local high school government teachers and high school students interested in law to attend this special event.
