Neil Fox will cover issues related to political defense of activists – free speech issues and their relation with criminal law, how political cases are different than standard criminal cases, and how they are the same in some respects, and what types of defenses have worked. He will also cover setting up a legal observer program.

Neil Fox is in private practice in Seattle, focusing on criminal defense at the trial, appellate and post-conviction levels, in both state and federal court. He is currently the NW Regional VP for the National Lawyers Guild, a progressive legal organization formed in 1937 which is dedicated to the proposition that human rights are more important than property rights.
