The 2018 Run for Equal Justice is sponsored by the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Foundation to benefit the Washington State Campaign for Equal Justice (C4EJ).
The C4EJ is an annual campaign which raises funds to support legal aid in Pierce County and throughout Washington for low-income people who cannot afford to hire an attorney to help them with civil legal problems. Civil legal problems include family law, housing, debt and consumer problems, access to public benefits, criminal record sealing, and many other types of issues.
The programs supported by this event include volunteer attorney programs located throughout Washington as well as organizations such as TeamChild and Northwest Immigrant Rights Project which specialize in specific areas of law.
