JustLead Washington is pleased to host secondary trauma expert Laura van Dernoot Lipsky for a two-hour presentation and discussion called “Transforming Trauma: Sustaining Social Justice Work in the Age of Overwhelm” to raise awareness of and respond to the cumulative toll on those who are exposed to the suffering, hardship, crises, or trauma of humans, other living beings or the planet itself. Deepening our understanding of trauma exposure and the tools for reconciling such exposure can help ease the burden of feeling overwhelmed, restore our perspective, and give us strength to navigate what is yet to come.
