Understanding Affinity Groups as a Strategy to Advance Race Equity – Webinar

On March 27, the Washington Race Equity & Justice Initiative (REJI) invites you to an interactive webinar: Understanding Affinity Groups as a Strategy to Advance Race Equity. This webinar will explore the value and practice of affinity groups (or caucusing), particularly those based on racial identity. The idea of affinity groups or caucusing is not new as they are defined simply as a group of people linked by a common interest or purpose yet within organizational race equity work, racial affinity groups allow for alternative spaces for those who identify as both people of color and white to discuss, explore, and strategize anti-racism within their lives. Participants will explore the basics of affinity groups and explore common challenges through discussion and Q&A.

The topic of this webinar focuses on areas highlighted in the REJI Organizational Race Equity Toolkit downloadable here: https://justleadwa.org/learn/rejitoolkit/.
