Equal Justice Lobby Day 2019!

Join your fellow champions of civil legal aid in Olympia for Equal Justice Lobby Day 2019!

Thanks to your efforts, Washington has made great strides toward equal justice by increasing funding for civil legal aid during the past two state legislative sessions. But further investment is critical to ending the civil justice crisis that leaves far too many Washingtonians vulnerable to domestic violence, eviction, homelessness, mental health issues, and more. We have the chance to make a meaningul impact in 2019, as the Legislature considers its biennial budget that could fund 40 new legal aid attorneys around the state and substantially improve access to justice for those who need it most.

A successful Lobby Day is crucial to making sure the Legislature honors its commitment to civil legal aid and justice for all.

The day includes:

  • Grassroots training on how to advocate at the Legislature
  • Presentations from Sen. Ann Rivers (R-La Center) and Rep. Mike Pellicciotti (D-Federal Way)
  • Individual constituent meetings with legislators
  • Lunch, snacks, and coffee

The Equal Justice Coalition will coordinate meetings for Lobby Day participants to speak with legislators about the impact of civil legal aid in their districts, and can also help organize carpool groups to Olympia. Register to reserve your spot today!
